What a Jackass--Steve-O Faces Jail for River Stunt

"Jackass" star and stand up comic Steven Gilchrist Glover, better known as Steve-O, will face misdemeanor criminal charged in connection with his back flip off the Rivercenter Mall bridge into the shallow San Antonio River last week, police tell 1200 WOAI news.

In  a brief statement, Police spokeswoman Sandra Gutierrez said Glover, 39, will be charged with deadly conduct, a Class A misdemeanor, which is a Class A misdemeanor under the Texas Penal Code 22.05, and punishable by one year in prison and a $4,000  fine.

Glover is also facing charges of 'Swimming in the San Antonio River Prohibited,' which is a city code violation.

Deadly conduct is defined as 'if a person recklessly engages in conduct that places another in imminent danger.'

Steve-O later wrote on his Facebook page that his back flip was ill advised, and he didn't know the river was that shallow.
