U.S. Deports Accused Rapist to Mexico

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers in San Antonio have deported a Mexican national who is charged with rape in his home country, 1200 WOAI news reports.

Emilio Omar Briones-Aparicio, 32, was arrested in Brownsville for the crime of illegal entry.  While he was being held in the South Texas Detention Complex in Pearsall, U.S. and Mexican officials negotiated the return of Briones-Aparicio to stand trial for the violent sexual assault of a man in Reynosa.

He was successfully turned over to Mexican officials at the International Bridge in Laredo on Friday and was immediately taken into custody to face charges in Mexico.
