Lengthy Sentence in Child Porn Case

A San Antonio man who once monitored residents of a halfway home is headed to prison, after being sentenced for possession and distribution of child pornography, 1200 WOAI's Michael Board reports.

"He wants to be a substance abuse counselor, yet has absolutely no concept of how his own criminal behavior hurt other people, said Tracy Thompson, the Assistant U.S. Attorney who prosecuted the case.

Jorge Pena, Jr, 32, was sentenced to just over 12 years in prison, after federal investigator found 'several computers' at his home which were stuffed with sexual images of young children.

Thompson said Pena still doesn't have any understanding of the dangers of children who are forced into pornography.

"He never mentioned the children at sentencing," she said.  "He doesn’t equate what he did with sexually exploiting others."
