Police: Angry Woman Intentionally Ran Over Boyfriend During Argument

Police say a woman intentionally ran over her boyfriend after the pair argued in their car overnight, 1200 WOAI news reports.

EMS was called to the 4800 block of Castle Sword, on the north east side off Midcrown, about 2AM.

When they arrived, they found a man in the back seat of a car, suffering from severe head injuries.

He was rushed to the hospital where doctors were trying to save his life.  He was reported in extremely critical condition.

Detectives say the 22 year old man and 23 year old woman were drinking late last night near Laredo and Zarzamora on the west side, when they got into a fight.

During the course of the fight, detectives say the woman jumped into her car, threw it into gear, and intentionally ran over the man.

She then sped away, but then changed her mind, went back to the scene, and dragged the bleeding man into the back seat of her car.

She then drove across the city to the Castle Sword address, where she lives.

The girlfriend is jailed  on aggravated assault and DWI charges.
