Duncan Named to Second Team NBA All-Defensive Team

Tim Duncan today was named to the second team of the NBA All-Defensive Team, 1200 WOAI news reprots.

It is the 14th time Duncan has been named to an All-Defensive team, putting him ahead of such NBA stars as Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabaar, and Scottie Pippen.

It is well deserved.  Duncan's 2.65 blocks per game is his highest average since the 2003-04 season, and it is also the highest average of any NBA player 36 year or older since official stats started being kept in 1973.

Duncan has been named to the First Team All-Defensive Team eight times in his career.

The Team was selected by the 30 NBA head coaches, who were not allowed to vote for players on their own team.
